Logo

       My logo was built from the personal style of my initials "SB". The logo was constructed by using the pen tool, the stroke tool for the colors, and the stroke tool to make the thickness of each letter. I wanted to logo to feel very expressive by using my initials like a signature by using smooth curves throughout the artwork.      The color choices for each of the logos was specially picked to represent different styles of colors for me and different moods. Each color that was picked from adobe color represented different of my favorite colors. The two shades of pink that were chosen represented a happy and joyful mood, while purple represented a sad and down mood. Green communicates a mood of being energetic and creative. The black and white version of the logo represents a professional and sophisticated style of me.      I aimed for a logo that was timeless and could be used for anything that represents me in a sleek way.        The reasoning behind my art piece is to demonstrate growth within my life. It shows a caterpillar from the letter to my younger self ten years ago, to the butterfly made from my letter to myself in ten years from now. It shows the goals I have accomplished in life and the goals I hope to accomplish. Mainly, it shows the growth I have had from being a kid and hopefully more growth I will have as I continue to mature.      The main tools I used in this art is the pen tool and the text to pattern tool in adobe illustrator. These helped create a picture like what I had in my mind and be able to put it on paper.      The inspiration behind this art piece was portraying how I became my own person and grew into myself. When I think of how much I have already grown as a person, and how much more I have to grow, it makes me think of myself as a caterpillar turning into a butterfly and growing into their real skin.      ...
