I think this video explained the basics of illustrator well. I am confused on some of the starting settings. I would like to understand why some of the setting have to be on certain things like RGB and other things like that.  find when I understand why things are set to certain settings, I remember to put all projects in that setting. I also think the pen tool will be easy to use since it seems very straight foward on how to create vectors with it.

I think some easy tools will be the fill and outline. It is pretty straight forward just like creating a colored text box while making a presentation. One thing I think will be a bit tricky for me is the select tool and the direct select tool. I think those two will get mixed up in my head since the names and icons of the tools are very similar in my mind.

From this video, I think one thing I need to make sure I remember to do is update my layers tab. If I do not create a new layer for each vector I create, it could mess up my project in the long run. The curvature tool also seems like a very important tool. The curvature tool is good for when there are curved areas in the logo or picture and I need to create a curved vector. It is also a tool that seems relatively easy to use.

  I process behind my art piece is to use different tools in photoshop to get the hang of the different material we will be doing. For example, using the brush tool was the main tool I used to create this art piece. Also, using the brackets helped practice making the brush bigger and smaller. Lastly, using layers and the masking tool to create the scratches and shading on around the logo to create a "spray paint" effect. Overall, this piece is meant to be colorful, lively, and practice working on the tools that will be used throughout the course.

For example, using the laso tool is something I think will be used very often to erase things from a picture. The patch tool also seems like something that would be important to use which does a similar thing as the laso tool. Lastly, using layer mask will be important to combine pictures together into one. For example, making copies of layers and then merging them together is a good tool to use incase you need to go back to another layer. This also allows for any mistakes made to the second layer to be able to start over. Learning how to wrap the layer also could be important depending on what projects could be coming during this portion of the course.
